Having a car on campus makes it easy to just pick up your keys and hit City Avenue to grab some food (sometimes too easy; I’m sorry @bankaccount). But hey, if we are going to eat, we may as well do it right! I typically head to Ardmore/Wynnewood area when I’m feeling hungry. Here are 6 restaurants within a 15-minute drive of campus for when you want to eat something yummy:

  1. Sweetgreen

Attention health foodies: Sweetgreen is delicious. When you find yourself craving salads or grain bowls, Sweetgreen is just what you need. Each individual location sources their ingredients from local and trusted farmers. You can actually taste how fresh the food is! Make sure you come with a card though, because Sweetgreen has officially gone cashless.

  1. Not You Average Joe’s

Not Your Average Joe’s is a great neighborhood restaurant with food options for everyone. The chain prides themselves on their “creative” and “casual” cuisine. From soups and salads to delicious entrees, they have it all (and complimentary valet parking!)

  1. Snap Custom Pizza

If you have ever been to Snap Pizza, this establishment already has a “pizza” your heart! Super fresh, super delicious. This custom pizza restaurant allows you to design the pizza pie of your dreams. And the best part: you don’t have to share with anyone because the pies are personal-sized. Quick and relatively cheap, Snap is perfect for college students (and is usually chock full ‘o them!).

  1. Mt. Fuji

If you love sushi, you will love Mt. Fuji. The Japanese restaurant is authentic, modern, and a great place to go with friends. Mt. Fuji serves both sushi and hibachi making it perfect for our friends who don’t love raw fish as much as we do.

  1. Saxbys Coffee

Coffee, tea, specialty drinks, sandwiches, and baked goods… Honestly, what more do we need in this life? With tables, chairs, and outlets, Saxbys is perfect for getting some homework done when you need a little escape from campus. The deck outside is the ideal place to work on assignments, especially with the beautiful weather we’ve been having (I may or may not be typing this from the Saxbys deck).
