Are you in the mood to feel festive? Well then the Rothman Ice Rink and Cabin might just be the perfect place for you. Starting on November 8th all the way until February 23rd, you can spend your day ice skating with friends, and taking part in some holiday festivities! You can find this winter wonderland at Dilworth Park, in center city Philadelphia. It’s just a train ride away to be able to enjoy all the exciting events that will be happening this winter season.
The Rothman Orthopedic Ice Rink
This seasonal ice rink is set up during most of the winter, providing a holiday activity filled with cheer! Professional or first-time skater, anyone can make a good time out of this rink. Skate rentals are available for $10, and you’re off gliding under the twinkling festive lights. If you’re lucky you might even catch the colorful light show projected on to City Hall, paired with holiday music.
The Rothman Cabin
If skating is not your cup of tea, or should I say hot chocolate, then you can head over to the Rothman Cabin. After being in the cold air, you can warm up here with coffee and hot chocolate, or they also serve cocktails and beer to those who are of age. Snacks are also provided, so make sure you come with an empty stomach!
Special Events
If you are looking for even more festive features at the ice rink, they offer numerous events that will make for a memorable holiday! Some events that are offered are:
Deck the Hall Light Show- November 25th-January 1st, every night at 5:30pm
- A free show that decorates City Hall with holiday projections accompanied by festive music
Holiday Market– November 23rd- January 1st, Sunday-Thursday at 11am-7pm & Friday-Saturday at 11am-8pm
- Over 50 vendors are set up in tents selling goods and food! If you’re struggling to find the perfect gift for someone, this event might just have what you need!
Cocktails & Cold Ones- Through February 19th on, Wednesdays 5pm-7pm
- For the adults who want a quick drink, come to the Park at this hour to receive happy hour deals.
College Nights- Through February 20, Thursdays 5pm-9pm
- Bring your college ID to receive a discount. Skate for only $2!
Other Special Events include Santa Express and the Holiday PJ Party with Santa! During these events all can come and get pictures with Santa!
