The relationship between a student and professor is often restricted to talk inside of the classroom. Students often think professors don’t have much going on outside of teaching classes, when in fact there is much more to get to know about teachers beyond the classroom.

For example, Erin Downey, who is an art history professor at Saint Joseph’s University, has traveled across Europe to get hands on experience with the pieces of art work she displays to her students. Not only is this an important key to being a good teacher, but is fascinating to hear about.

To get a better idea of what professors do outside of the classroom we held interviews with some of our own. The interviewees were Dave Allen, Marketing professor at Saint Joseph’s University, and Kate Eltringham, Philosophy professor at Saint Joseph’s University.
