Located in the Fashion District of Philadelphia, Candytopia is an Instagram worthy, candy filled pop-up exhibit that is open until January 5th 2020. Created by Hollywood Candy Queen Jackie Sorkin, Candytopia is an interactive art installation for all ages, including college students.
For $28 a ticket, you can explore and be apart of all Candytopia has to offer. Each room in this interactive pop-up exhibit has a different theme, tons of candy art to observe, unique things to smell and 9 variations of candy to taste. Whether that is diving into 300,000 foam marshmallows, jumping into a confetti wonderland, or going under the sea with some sweet sea creatures, this could be the place for you.
Want Candy?
The candy that is provided at Candytopia ranges from sweet to sour. There are gummy bears, sour ropes, lollipops and tons of other goodies for you to try.
Food allergies?
The sample candies in Candytopia are nut-free. But some of the handouts are produced in a facility that handles nuts. They also have gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, kosher, and vegan options that you can ask for during your time there.
Where is it and How do I get there?
To get to Candytopia from campus you have a couple of options when it comes to transportation.
By car, Candytopia is about 25 minutes away. The creators of Candytopia recommend parking at either the Parkade on 8th Street and Filbert Street or the Autopark at 10th and Filbert Street. No car? No problem. If you take the Overbrook Septa Station to Jefferson Station in Philadelphia you will be a two minute walk from your sweet getaway. From Jefferson Station, the entrance is on Filbert St. between 10th & 11th St. or on 11th St. between Filbert and Market St.

Tips & Tricks
Download the Candytopia App to gain access to SugarRush. The QR code you are provided with is how you are able to get some really cool professional looking Instagram pictures. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to check-in with the Candytopia employees. Make sure you take all of your pictures, and grab all of your candy while travelling room to room because there is no going backwards in Candytopia. The trip through Candytopia lasts a little over an hour, so plan accordingly. Once you are through the exhibit, you end with an exclusive gift shop where you can purchase candy and other forms of merchandise. After the giftshop the double doors at the end will sadly lead you back to reality.
