Philadelphia sports fans are known to be some of the most passionate in the country. With the end of summer comes the beginning of fall sports seasons. Fall sports bring out some of the most well-known teams in the major league: 76ers (NBA), Eagles (NFL), and Flyers (NHL). Getting to and from Philly sports game should be a league of its own. Luckily, SJU is located only 20 minutes from the stadiums! If you can’t drive there yourself, there are a few other ways to get to the game.

UberX: $18-24
Lyft: $20-26
Public Transportation: Take the Eastbound train from Overbrook Station, transfer to the orange line, and get off at AT&T.
Tip: If you plan to go with a few friends, you can now split the fee in app for Uber and Lyft!

There is a parking fee if you drive to the game! Sometimes, you may get lucky and buy a ticket that includes a parking pass, which means you get free parking. If not, make sure you have some cash on hand when you get there!

Eagles: $40
Flyers and 76ers: $20

You can eat before the game, but chances are you won’t be able to resist getting a bite during it. The obvious choices would be Chickie’s and Pete’s or Shake Shack. Stadium food can be pricey, but luckily there are promotional nights with special deals or discounts offered to fans! Sadly there aren’t any in the upcoming week, but here are a few:

$1 Dog Night
$1 Popcorn Night
$3 Cotton Candy Night

See, it is totally possible to go to a Philly sports game on a budget. If you happen to get out this week to see one, enjoy it! The energy at the games is contagious, so don’t worry if you aren’t a Philly local. Have fun, eat crab fries, and get there and back in one piece!
