As the temperature begins to drop and the leaves begin to change their color, we know that Summer is over and Fall is just beginning. That being said, if you are looking for something fun to celebrate this time of year, look no further than Morgan’s Pier. With fall festivities gearing up for the season Morgan’s Pier’s 5th annual Fall Fest has just begun. Fall Fest goes from September 25th to October 26th. Fall Fest features live music, an autumn inspired menu, drink specials, dog happy hour, pumpkin carving, canvas painting, and succulent workshops. And to wrap up the fall season a Halloween Party to end Fall Fest will be on October 26th.
While at Fall Fest you will not find yourself bored, there are plenty of different activities to participate in and watch. Pumpkin carving is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-5pm.You are able to pick your own pumpkin to carve from their patch. Create a seasonal painting on Saturday, October 19th with painter Lisa Berger. Creativity does not end with pumpkin carving and paintings you can also create your very own succulent garden. All weekend DJ Entertainment rotates through the pier providing great music. Every Sunday during Fall Fest live acoustic performances are also playing. Bring your dog to Yappy Hour to support the PSPCA on Sunday October 13th. This opportunity is only happens once at Morgan’s Pier so bring your furry friend along for a day of fun. The fall-inspired menu is nothing short of delicious with tons of fall flavors. Master Chef Jim Burke curated a special menu just for Fall Fest. And not to forget seasonal drink specials are also available and on tap.
Morgan’s Pier is a quick drive or train ride away from St. Joe’s campus. Located right outside Center City at 221 N Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia PA 19123. Morgan’s Pier has great views along the river and The Ben Franklin Bridge. So if you want to celebrate the beginning of fall with some pumpkin spice flavored drinks and playing with your dog, then Morgan’s Pier is the place for you this month. Fall Fest is the perfect fall activity for a weekend off campus in the city.
