With the help of students around campus, we asked why it was important to them to have the laptop that they currently use. Ranging from older model laptops to current MacBooks, we want to know if it is necessary to have all the ‘bells and whistles’ to just do homework assignments. After talking to the students, their purchases were based on more than just schoolwork, but also for the quality or convenience of what the laptop can provide.
An Apple computer comes with a hefty price tag, but boasts an incredible build design with an easy to use operating system that can not be replicated. It’s no surprise many students choose these expensive computers because of the status the brand carries. But it is typically too much computer for a college student doing work and passing the time with entertainment websites.
